This is a step-by-step guide on how to create a BaP Spreadsheet
Step 1) Go to Google docs and create a FREE Account Step 2) Click this link to take you to the ready made Blank Spreadsheet Step 3) When creating a BaP you should go to Google docs and upload the Spreadsheet. Step 4) Click on File and Make a Copy, then rename the form. Step 5) Once uploaded you must select the Share option in the top right and select "Get the link to". Check the box that says "Allow anyone with the link to view (no sign-in required)" Please Note: After Google Docs Upgrade the share option is now on the left hand side (Immediately to the right of your Spreadsheet Title) See Image below In the new pop up window select Change in the top right corner and you will see the following Image Check the Box that says "Public on the Web" and save (see below) Step 6) Copy the link into your web browser and go to your online Spreadsheet. Fill in the details for your BaP as follows: Original Sale Amount = Total BR needed for your BaP Original # of Shares = The number of shares you wish to make available to backers Initial share Price = How much each share will cost (make sure this matches your BR needed and amount of shares available). Backer's Cut = What percentage of profits you're willing to give your investors. Make Up Cut = Enter the percentage of profits you're going to offer investors that want make-up (optional) Step 7) Open a new Thread in The BaP section (Shipping Fees as per SaS Rules) Step 8) All players will be asked to embed there google Spreadsheets onto there BaP post using the New B Button (Next to the YouTube Button) Simply copy the URL from googledocs to Word and remove the KEY (For ease I have highlighted a KEY below as an example) http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AtN1iHpL-TRCdEE3Rll3NXo3UGRpYjNYUW1RMnFlaHc&hl=en Paste the red part into the bottom of your BaP thread, Highlight it and click on the B Button ![]() Step 9) As investors post to reserve or buy shares, edit the Spreadsheet as follows Column C - Backer = the name of the investor Column D - Shares = The number of shares reserved/Bought Column E - Backers Cut % = Enter relevant cut % for investors if they do/don't want make-up Column I - Status = Whether shares are Reserved/Paid Step 10) Once your BaP is sold and your Rail thread is running you should update boxes B11 / B12 as follows: B11 - $ Stakes played = Amount you have used in Buy-ins to each game B12 - $ Won to date = Amounts you have won from all games. Once the BaP is finished and these numbers have been updated you can ship funds according to Column H. Warning DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING OTHER THAN LIGHT BLUE BOXES or your BaP spreadsheet will not work properly Don't worry if your email is showing on the top right of the spreadsheet, only you can see it ![]() Last edited by addick; 26-02-2011 at 06:51 AM. |

As of February 23rd, members posting BaPs now have the added responsibility of managing two extra features within each BaP posted.
Feature one: When posting your BaP, you can now chose a prefix, that will best describe the Format of your BaP. Simply click on the box to the left of the Title bar and scroll down to the best prefix that describes your BaP.. This function is only available in advanced mode when editing a post. ![]() Feature Two: All players will be asked to embed there google Spreadsheets onto there BaP post using the New B Button (Next to the YouTube Button) Simply copy the URL from googledocs to Word and remove they KEY (For ease I have highlighted a KEY below as an example) http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AtN1iHpL-TRCdEE3Rll3NXo3UGRpYjNYUW1RMnFlaHc&hl=en Paste the red part into the bottom of your BaP thread, Highlight it and click on the B Button ![]() Feature Three: It is now every members responsibility to keep Investors up-to-date on the current status of all BaPs posted. This can be done by using the Status Bar underneath the Prefix bar used when creating your BaP. Simply click the Status Bar and choose the status that best describes the current status of your BaP.This function is only available in advanced mode when editing your post. ![]() For Sale - This will show potential backers you still have shares available. Sold out Please send Funds - It is still advisable to PM investors to let them know you have sold all your shares, but this will also alert investors. Running - This will show investors that all funds have been received and that the BaP is in progress. Closed and Shipped - This must be selected immediately after you have finished your BaP and distributed funds to your backers as per agreed terms. Last edited by addick; 24-02-2010 at 07:41 AM. |

I have updated the OP and relevant links to include the Make Up option that some members have requested.
It should be self-explanatory for people that have used the spreadsheets before - if you don't want to offer a Make-Up cut then just leave cell B8 empty and everyone's Backers Cut % in column E will be the same (as cell B7). If you are offering a Make-Up cut as well as a Backer's Cut then B7 and B8 will have your relevant cut % and column E will reflect these figures dependent on what investors want. If you do this correctly then column G will work out for you what every investor should be paid at the end of the BAP relevant to which cut they have opted for.
