Just been listening to GMTV and they say it something like £2 a year that men spend on beauty products.Men prefer soap and a bit of talc.Big Grin

Now I know thats not the case as some men have overtaken women in how much time they spend in getting ready.

How long does it take you and does it cost more than £2 ayear for your beauty products?Big Grin

Christmas presents and birthdays account for most of my shower gel etc (very unimaginative relatives) Plus the 2 are ideally spaced, winter / summer
So unless you count shaving gel as a beauty product I probably dont spend anything over the £2
Still smell sweet though, just haggard and lined though not moisturising, toning and exfoliating.

Costs me absolutly nothing as my wife is a boots points junkie Big Grin

As for getting ready:

If i'm going out about half an hour for a shave, shower and getting dressed.

Normal day about 15 minutes for a shower and dressing.

Although this sometimes varies as it depends on whether or not its nasal hair trimming day! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin:.

My wife however takes at least an hour even if she is only taking the kids to school.

Normally 2 hours for her if we are going out.

I've just had a quick count and we have over 25 bottles/dispensers in our bathroom at present ( not including dental accessories ) and only 3 are mine: shaving gel, shampoo and shower gel.

In the bedroom there are over 60 bottles of various beautifying products ( not including wife's make up case which even Geoff Capes would struggle to lift ) which mainly comprise of anti wringle for this and anti sagging for that!!Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin and only 1 is mine my deodorant.Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin
Are you sure the anti wrinkle and anti sagging isn't yours?WinkBig GrinBig Grin

Well amazingly only the bits that are supposed to point south do Big Grin

As for wrinkles i need a plasterer not some cream Tongue

I spend a lot more than 2 quid! My last order of shaving stuff came to about £25, I have really sensitive skin on my face so I have to moisturise or I get terrible shaving rash.
My mom gets me shower gel while shopping so I don't pay for that, bought all my current smellies in Florida last year cos it was cheap, spent about £75 on that and of course I go through hair stuff rather quickly, I'm using about 5 different products at the mo... Big Grin
I reckon I can get ready in about 20 mins to go out, maybe 40 if I have to shave.
lol - takes me ages to shave as well!

Good job we don't have national service - I think you need to be able to SS&S in 5 minutes to survive that sort of regime.
most ladies may be surprised to know i don't spend much on beauty products - just the usual shaving stuff and aftershave balm etc.

as for shaving i have been without a bathroom mirror for a few weeks whilst i get one for my new bathroom. Big mistake - got in the shower this morning and realised my face was covered in blood lol.
If you count haircuts then about £12.60/annum Smile

I just use whatever i get at christmas.

As for getting ready then if it is a special occasion or i am going out with Gem (both same thing actually) then twenty mins.

If i'm going out with mates i just park the bus in town and go straight out and pick the bus up the following dinner time.
before a big night out:-

1) Lounge in the bath till the water gets cold.
2) Shave with soap and water, or just water.
3) Brush teeth.
4) Clip nails with nail clippers (or sharp knife).
5) Trim nose, ear and noe hair.
6) Dry any bits that haven't air-dried.
7) A quick spray of some stuff in a can.
8) Get dressed.
9) Wet comb through hair.
10) Admire self in mirror!
